At Karina’s Backpack Project, we believe that every child deserves to start the school year feeling confident, capable, and cared for. A backpack may seem small—but it holds the power to prepare a student not just for the classroom, but for the future.

For many families, the back-to-school season is filled with anxiety. School supplies are costly, and for those facing financial hardship, they are often out of reach. That means students show up on day one feeling different, unprepared, and left behind—not because of their potential, but because of a lack of access.

We’re here to change that.

Each year, we provide thousands of elementary and middle school students with backpacks filled with the essentials—notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, and more. But what we deliver goes far beyond supplies.
